We posted several days ago about the life after Google Penguin update.
So what is next? How to cope up with the fast changing updates?
We heard that with Penguin comes a bug. (I never seen a penguin; more so a bug on a penguin.) Perhaps the best thing to do is to assess the damage done to our websites by Penguin and this bug. How are your rankings? Do you have any web analytics installed in your site? Review what you lose in terms of traffic and see how far the damage has hit your performance.
Whether there is Panda, Penguin, or any other update, it is just fitting to continually and regularly improve the quality of your website specially the content/pages.
Follow the road signs.
For those engaged in some controversial activities, maybe it is hight time to start a new SEO life. Choose the right path: no webspam, no cloaking, and no to any other black hat technigues. Follow the road signs. Avoid one ways and don’t go overspeeding with questionable linking schemes.
If you think your website is married to Google, wake up because it is not. This is what we call infatuation. With or without Google, your website (business) CAN live; it MUST live. Google can be a an amazing friend for your website (business); but never make a mistake to fall in love with it.
Though Google might be your ideal partner, go out and meet new friends. There is Bing; and some many others. Be social and meet Facebook, friendster, and the like. Linkedin might be your thing – just move on.
If you can’t appreciate how much potential your website has to offer in itself without the need for other external factors, then how do you think others would see it. In other words, your website should be a place where other would feel at home, where others can identify with, where others can find it as a good company for reliable authoritative information. Your website should be building relationships. From there, SEO, SEM, SMO, PPC, email marketing and the rest can be proud to do their job for you.
